Team news
Congratulations to Amber and Wawan for the safe arrival of Olivia born in New Zealand July 2008. We wish
you every success for the future and lots of love.
On a sadder note our dedicated builder and dear friend Pak Mantri has been undergoing chemotherapy in Java.
His condition has come as a terrible shock to all of us and we are praying for his full recovery.

Petra’s Visit
to Indonesia |
Petra Nemcova from Happy Hearts Fund and her dedicated team came to see us in Yog ya/Bantul to visit the
various projects we have been working on together. A busy first day was spent traveling around Bantul Region
visiting a handful of the 29 kindergartens that have been rebuilt by HHF/BKP. Teachers parents and children
were thrilled to meet Petra and show how their new educational facilities have dramatically improved the lives
of so many young children. This was a truly memorable day for all.
In total the BKP has successfully rebuilt 37 kindergartens in the Bantul
Regency. Happy Hearts have funded 29 of these kindergartens plus one primary school & the Flower of Knowledge
Kindergarten Canggu Bali.
After Yogya Petra then visited Bali and was our special guest at Warisan Restaurant for an unforgettable
evening on behalf of the Bali Kindergarten Project. The evening fundraiser was a huge success. Monies raised
from this event have already built a kindergarten in the Karangasem Regency Bali.
A special thank you to all our donors for the auction and sponsors for the this Fabulous event without their
generosity and support this would not have been possible. Once again thank you to Doudou and Said for hosting
this wonderful evening at Warisan Restaurant.
The Parents & Friends of the Australian International School kindly donated
funds towards the well for the Flower of Knowledge Kindergarten, thank you so much.
